wow i haven't written in this forever .. but because i am seriously seriously seriously needing to talk about SYTYCD and .. nobody else cares I'M GOING TO POUR OUT MY HEART HERE LOL .. wow, this is my life in china. i'm so terribly bored and lonely that it has been consumed by sytycd. sad? yeah.
okay, anyhow. onto the real stuff.


first of all i LOVE PHILLIP. i'm sure you already know that, but seriously. 
i was so sad when his tango wasn't good hahah and he was so sad that it was almost pathetic -- but i still love him. and i love that he started when he was 15 and that he's so talented today and that he's had NO formal training but he was able to get past vegas week (even though they said his ballroom was terrible) .. and through jazz and contemporary with no formal training. ridiculous! SO hopefully he gets like contemporary next week or something because he will def KILL that. but even if he doesn't, as long as he does decent next week (although i'm really hoping he does spectacular), his fans should bring him through. seriously, he wasn't even bottom 3 this week even though the tango was, okay- i'll say it- a hot mess. lol.
but at least we know that if he has to dfyl .. he'll do better than anyone else. obv.
as for jeanine, i think she's grown on me. rewarching her video with phillip, yeah, i'll give it to her- she's a super talented dancer and some of her improv stuff is really good too. so yes, i actually do like them both .. although if you take away phillip, jeanine probably falls a bit on my list. haha. but i still think she's really pretty and a strong dancer - she certainly held her own better than phillip in the tango, i'm sorry to say, and she killed that hip-hop last week, even though she said she was so bad at hip-hop, ha.
and yeahh i def agree with what everyone said .. jeanine and phillip are def like the most popular couple .. phillip has a HUGE fan base (which i am unashamedly part of!!) and jeanine's is growing because she's such a strong dancer.

i am super glad kupono stayed, although i was shocked beyond belief!! seriously?!? like, max has been strong this whole season (even tho it hasn't been that long so far) and .. for him to go instead of kupono was like OMGOMGOMGOMG. 
kupono looked soo scared and nervous during the last moments, like he was going to cry because he KNEW he was going home .. and i knew he was too. and i was sitting here sobbing biting my nails (obv) and then OH MY GOODNESS MAX?!?!? it was so surprising i'm still reeling from it. 
i lovelovelove kupono, but i really think he should've gone home instead of max. i thought it'd be jason or kupono (ughughugh) but def not max. even though i think he's a super creeper, his dances with kayla were nothing short of amazing -- he partnered her well and, okay, i'd hate to say it, but yeah, they had great chemistry. and i'm really surprised nigel kept kupono because of his, as other people say, "feminine" dance (idk I'M SO MAD I MISSED HIS DFYL BECAUSE THE STUPID LIVE FOX THING STOPPED WORKING FOR LIKE THAT 30 SECONDS ONLY SERIOUSLY WTH?!), but yeah. i'm glad he stayed and i am REALLY hoping him and kayla do well next week. if not .. goodbye, kupono. :( i love you a ton and you are soo talented, but idk if you'll make to to the top 10. 
and everyone's comparing kupono to mark just cuz they're both hawaiian. and yeah, they danced at the same studio, but everyone's like "blahblahblah kupono's no mark" .. yeah, well, they aren't supposed to be the same, dummy. they're different people with different strengths and weaknesses.
but honestly i loooove kupono and his OCD hahahah and his monkey/bird noises with ashley - that was SO cute. and when ashley got cut, they said he was wiping away tears -- aww pono!! ;/ plus he's adorable. and obv a good dancer -- his wade jazz routine last week was so good, he acted the role so well. (which is probably why he got to stay, it's basically what nigel said)
i'm hoping that next week him and kayla really bring it .. and hopefully jonathan or vitolio is cut instead of him. even though i love vitolio too, i love pono more. haha. i feel like pono has more personality even though i completely feel for vitolio for being an orphan and his performance with asuka this week was gorg <3

honestly, the only people i can really single out as not making the top 10 are (as of now)
jonathan and vitolio for the boys and caitlin and asuka for the girls. 
jonathan because .. i'm sorry but his dfyl last week was just not impressive. lol. it was all gymnastics and i was like "wth?? isn't this supposed to be dancing .. " like honestly, even i could tell .. and i really don't know anything about dance. hahah. and because mary said that he's better at contemp than salsa -- wth?? that's really weird. and not a good weird ..
and vitolio .. him and asuka are just not popular enough, you know? they'd probably end up in the bottom 3 and eventually be cut. i mean, i loved their waltz this week but i feel like they aren't as charismatic of a couple which really matters in a competition like this. (not like jeanine and phillip lol) nor are they spectacular like ade and melissa, so idk.
and caitlin .. idk the whole dfyl thing during vegas and almost being cut there -- that's just soo surprising that she's in the top 20. granted she's a beautiful dancer, but .. we'll see. idk she hasn't impressed me that much - i thought jason was better last week and definitely this week. idk.

ANYHOW. this week i am sooo glad i love karla because she was AMAZING in that contemp with jonathan. seriously her lines and steps were beautiful and it's wayyy shocking but i'm glad my love for her was justified. :D
and i have also gained a love for JASON. oh my goshhh watching him dfyl was amazing honestly, i hadn't really been watching him -- i missed this week's episode and i was impressed with bollywood last week, but i was way more in love with philline and ashono last week. oh, and melissa and ade <3 -- but seeing him dfyl (in jeans no less hahah) today was like WHOAWHOAWHOA who are you again?!?!? hahah. like i like caitlin, so i'd watched them before, but jason had never really caught my eye -- i sort of grouped him and jonathan into one because they were both cute and looked alike. but OKAY. jason is now up there with kupono. hahah.


ALSO i've decided that randi and evan are, indeed, adorable. (even tho my heart is still with philline :P) and i indeedy do love branette -- i love janette i think because of her cuban-ness and brandon is amazing. (IDK my choices for the top 10 are KILLING MEEE. idk whether i want brandon or kupono to make it :( i feel like brandon will because he's a stronger dancer, but NOOOO! my heart is with kupono more.) and of course, ade and melissa are fantastic. 


i love kayla too, but i agree -- the judges are pimping her wayyy too much. like i've watched her since auditions because i thought she was pretty and her story with her grandparents was soo cute -- her grandparents are honestly adorable -- and i thought she was terrific in her auditions, and i followed her when i could (sorry during vegas week i was frantically searching for phillip ha), but yeah. i def do like her - she's a good, versatile dancer and when she dances, it def catches your eye (hopefully pono's a good partner for her :(!!) and she's strong technically, but yeah, judges definitely pimping her way too much.
her dfyl was okay, i thought she used the stage really well but yeah, i could tell she was soooo nervous. (even though she doesn't have a reason to be!) and i saw her fumble a bit at this one part- but i can't describe when because then i'd sound like a loser cuz i don't knwo any dance terms lolol - but yeah. i think it was too crammed too .. personally i actually preferred caitlin's dfyl even though a lot of people said it was like the one in vegas. 
but nonetheless, i love kayla. she's so fierce. and her outfit yesterday was ridiculous!! i adored it.

jonathan's down there because i dont' feel like he's as strong of a dancer- same goes to caitlin, i'm sorry to say. ;/ hopefully they can step it up though, or prove themselves or improve rapidly in a short amount of time because i really do like them.
as for asuka .. idk -- a lot of people love and hate her. personally, i thought it was soo weird when she was like "okay i'm not attracted to vitolio at all" .. part of me was like "wow your asian parents raised you well" LOL and the other part was like "HOWWW? i love those sexy quiet black guys" LOL. plus his story about being an orphan is touching :( and yeah. plus idk, a lot of people say she feels really "fake" and yeah, part of me must agree, i'm sorry asuka :( plus she never really caught my eye like the others, idk. even though she's asian, i'm sorry, but this time i'm going with the pac-is (jason and karla! <3 <3)
